Handling Concepts Brand is synonymous with quality, innovation, and outstanding service.

An opportunity has arisen for an Experienced, Multi Skilled, Engineer with Electrical and Mechanical skills, to join our friendly, hard-working engineering team, as a Service and Installation Engineer.  You will report directly to the Service Manager, working on the installation and maintenance of our bespoke handling solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good engineering practices in order to maintain our high standards of quality, safety and good housekeeping.

The role involves significant travel across the UK to visit customers sites servicing a variety of materials handling machinery. Overnight stays will be necessary.

Experience as either a maintenance or service engineer is preferrable. Due to the complexity of some of our equipment, experience from the machine building industry (especially producers of bespoke machinery) will be more relevant than experience from the lifting industry or conveyor industries which are often quite basic equipment.

You will be an engineer at heart with strong mechanical skills as these are essential and form the majority of the job. You will also need to have strong electrical skills – able to read electrical schematics, identify components in an industrial electrical control cabinet and fault find on such equipment. You are likely to be trained to 18th edition although older versions would be acceptable.

Ideally, you will also have some Hydraulic and Pneumatic skills which we will help you to build upon. This is a permanent role based at Stoke Prior, near Bromsgrove in Worcestershire.
