Service Engineer Vacancy


A vacancy has become available for an energetic, conscientious individual to join our friendly, hard- working engineering team, as a service engineer.
The role involves significant travel across the UK to visit customers sites servicing a variety of materials handling machinery. Initially, you would be based in our workshop and assisting on site visits for training and to gain experience of our products.
You are likely to have worked as a maintenance or service engineer. Due to the complexity of some of our equipment, experience from the machine building industry (especially producers of bespoke machinery) could well be more relevant than experience from the lifting industry or conveyor industries which are often quite basic equipment.
You will be an engineer at heart with strong mechanical skills as these are essential and form the majority of the job. You will also need to have strong electrical skills – able to read electrical schematics, identify components in an industrial electrical control cabinet and fault find on such equipment. You are likely to be trained to 18th edition although older versions would be acceptable.Ideally, you will also have some Hydraulic / Pneumatic skills which we will help you to build upon.
This is a permanent role. Based at Stoke Prior, near Bromsgrove, in Worcestershire.
The start date is to be as soon as possible. The salary that we would offer would be very much dependent on experience but as a rough guide is likely to be in the region of £30,000+We would also supply you with a company van.
