The Problem

How to turn over delicate and irregularly shaped moulds weighing up to 250kg without breaking them or causing internal invisible cracking.

The Solution

An AsistMate 4000 Electric Lifting Column was equipped with a bespoke pneumatic gripper with self-locating pressure regulated gripping fingers to equalize and distribute loading on the mould.

The Outcome

This has led to improved safety and eliminates damage to the mould which represents several £1000's per broken mould and has proved very beneficial.
