Roll Handling Equipment

Roll handler with tilt function on balancer The application of manipulators to handling rolls of film, paper and other materials such as steel and wire, is one which we are familiar with. In addition, these material handling projects have led us to build other bespoke solutions to turn and / or transport rolls as required.

Projects have revolved around both core and external gripping and have covered all sizes from bulk rolls to split cheeses. Accordingly weights have ranged from a few kilograms to over a ton, varying in size.

Whilst some projects have been based on telescopic lifting columns others have employed hoist mounted manipulators or balanced pneumatic arms.
